• We reward Loyalty

We're upping our game to ensure that for each order you make, you'll receive an even more awesome and valuable free gift PLUS a bigger discount! Stickers, mugs, prints, t-shirts, hoodies, and up to 30% discount are available as part of our loyalty subscription scheme - go ahead and sign up to save!

  • We are Trustworthy

We've become well established, achieving Top Seller status on both Etsy and Depop. We've received over 1,000 5* reviews and sold over 1,750 items between both platforms since we started - and we're about to expand onto Shpock, Vinted, Grailed, Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok too!

  • We are Charitable

While we're still in the midst of calculating the specific amount, we estimate that since we started in 2021, roughly £15,000 has gone directly to a wide variety of charities through the work we do. We always ensure we offer a larger donation to charities than they would otherwise sell their items for.

  • We are Understanding

We also know all too well the mortifying experience of shopping online for something that doesn't fit. So, even if we didn't mess up the order - we will still provide an exchange in the event your item doesn't fit you properly or comfortably. All you have to do is message and we'll be happy to help.

  • We are Sustainable

Keeping sustainability and ethics is at the heart of everything we do. All leather is second hand or deadstock, our supplies are all vegan friendly and we offset all carbon emmisions from our deliveries through the planting of trees in our local area, utilising as much waste as we can and by consistently working on our own carbon footprints.

  • We are Accountable

If we mess up your order, we will fix it. You will never be left with an incorrect order, or short of an item and your hard earned cash if your item is lost in the post. We'll always do our best to ensure your experience is excellent, and that even in the event of a mishap, you'll want to return for more and recommend us to everyone you know.

About Us

Big Booty Boutique started during lockdown 2021 as a not-for-profit one woman business (with a gorgeous 6ft4 cheerleader, featured below) and has since expanded to take on a whole life of its own.

From humble beginnings refurbishing and bringing new life to alternative vintage footwear for myself, I began to sell on those I no longer had room for when I needed less shoes and more coin. Over time, we saw some remarkable organic growth and recognised that with a little more planning and effort, BBB could be amazing - and it's really getting there! Very soon, more upcycled art, hand-crafted jewellery and home décor will be added to the BBB range - but growth is slow because BBB remains committed to fighting fast fashion and remaining as sustainable and ethically based as possible.

Part of BBB's commitment to sustainability and fighting fast fashion means that all footwear sold are restored second hand shoes, or rare and unused deadstock pieces no longer in production. Big Booty Boutique is built to encapsulate everything we hold dear - making the most of what you've got, sharing and embracing your uniqueness and creativity, and being the change you want to see in the world.

We understand that those with creative flair want to play around with their sense of style, and that "alternative" covers a huge range of subcategories to be played with, but that the ethics of sustainability and limited funds can clash with this ideal - so we aim to overcome both these problems by ensuring all items prevent rather than contribute to waste, and that prices are always less than they would be for brand new items - even for our unused deadstock goods.
Myself, I started as a typical broke ass 90s kid, with an affinity for named headbands, Bang On The Door "Groovy Chick" designs, and glitter jelly shoes. As I grew out of love with S Club 7 and started falling for Blink-182 & The Rasmus, I stumbled onto the emo scene. Hot Topic and Blue Banana were outside my price range, so I'd thrift and make accessories myself. Haunted though I may be by the memory of fingerless gloves made of stripy toe socks that smelt like cheese, these original moments are a part of what formed my sustainable, alternative journey. From there, at about 13, I went pretty full fledged goth. You'd be amazed what you can do with a binbag is all I'll say on that one. That phase came and went, and as my aversion to socialising wore off and my interest in parties grew, I steered towards cyber goth and cyber punk wear. I'd make headdresses and corsets with glowsticks, and my refurbing skills really began to take shape. From there I started getting into more varied music from my previous staple choices of metalcore & rock. As drum and bass & tekno became my new tickle, I started getting more into "mashup" Bristol style fashions that incorporated everything from retro sportswear to punky pieces with burlesque style touches. By this point I'd learned how to make garments from scratch, and most of my accessories were handmade from old tin cans and pull-rings. With time, too many wild parties and too many bad friends, my sense of rebelliousness wore off and my sense of conscious self grew. I began to level out into a chilled hippy whose style had become grunge / goblincore on a standard day, and cottagecore when I fancied a softer look, Lolita when I felt sexy!
But the one thing that remained applicable for my sense of style throughout every phase were my beloved New Rock Boots. While I had dabbled with many other types of vintage platform footwear such as Buffalo, Converse, Gordon Jacks, Destroy, El Dantes, Pleaser, Buffalo and many more, I always ended up coming back to my New Rocks. My obsession wasn't something I was able to finance, so I used my previous skills in DIY, sewing, garment design and 3D design combined with my love of learning new things and taught myself how to fix broken shoes - vintage platforms being my bread and butter.
I became obsessed, saving things from dumpsters and preventing them from going to landfill, and giving them new life. When going through periods of agoraphobia and unable to diversify to dumpsters, I'd keep in close touch with local charities who would give me the heads up when they had arrivals they knew I'd be interested in - and I'd always be sure to give them a hefty chunk above what they'd have sold for otherwise to make sure they were truly benefitting from the arrangement. I'd never had much luck with plants and have a long way to go before I'm ready for kids, but bringing new life to alternative footwear became something I lived and breathed. I quit my job working 13 hour days with the NHS as well as my work in home care, and threw myself into it - all day, every day.

I'm now managing the business from home full-time, and am incredibly proud to have created every element and process myself, from the website design to the logo, the custom packaging and everything in between. With the support of my wonderful buyers, I'm very excited to lean further into my creativity and add more artwork, home décor and jewellery to my range of products. I'm really hopeful that you're as excited as I am to see the Big Booty Boutique journey unfold as chunky vintage platforms become less of a focus and my own creations and other trinkets begin to take the lead.
